2023 Genesis Electrified G80 Prices Starting at $80.920

Genesis is ready for the delivery of the electric G80.

The South Korean automaker, Hyundai Motors, announced Thursday that the 2023 Electrified G80 cost $80,920. It is now available in California and Connecticut as well as New Jersey and New York, but only at a few dealerships.

Genesis also stated that the Electrified G80 would be available in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah in September. The company stated that it will be sold only at select dealers.

Only one fully loaded model will be available. The luxury sedan features an all-wheel drive thanks to a dual motor powertrain that includes 136-kW electrical motors attached to each wheel. This combination delivers a total of 365 horsepower. Genesis claims that the motors are powered by an 87.2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It will provide 282 miles of range. The official EPA ratings are yet to be released.

Genesis claims that the Electrified 80 can charge from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes if connected to a 350-kW charging station. The automaker has partnered up with Electrify America to offer customers three years of free 30-minute fast charging sessions.

The Electrified G80 looks almost identical to its gas-powered sibling. Although the grille is now closed, it is one piece. However, the charge port is concealed within the grille on the driver’s side. The door is diamond-shaped and pops open. The easiest way to spot the electric version is with the model-specific 19-inch wheels or the Matira Blue exterior finish.

The Electrified G80 interior looks identical to the gas-powered model. However, the electric model is available with a Dark Lagoon green or Glacier White color scheme.

Each Electrified G80 will have automatic emergency braking and active lane control. Blind-spot monitors are also included.

  • The electric G80 is currently only available in California, Connecticut, and New Jersey. In September, it will be made available in Arizona and Nevada.
  • Only the Electrified G80 comes with a 365-hp, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain.

Genesis has launched an electric version of the G80 sedan. However, the two models look very similar so it might be difficult to tell which one is powered by gas or which one uses electrons. The company has now released pricing information for the 2023 Genesis Electric G80. This price tag is approximately $10k higher than the most expensive gas-fed G80.

The Electrified 80 is not sold in all states, as with other electric cars. It is currently only available in California and New York. This will change when Genesis’s electric sedan is sold in four additional states: Arizona (Nevada), Utah, and Wyoming.

2023 Electrified 80 will only be sold in eight states. Genesis recommends that customers contact their local dealer to confirm availability. The GV60 hybrid SUV will be available in all eight states, but may not be available.

The Electrified g80 is equipped with an all-wheel-drive, 365-hp dual motor powertrain. One we tested recently hit 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds. We were impressed by the speed and quietness of this electric G80, as well as its range and cabin. Although the EPA-rated range of the electric G80 is not yet available, Genesis estimates that it will travel 282 miles on a single charge. One we tested drove 280 miles at 75 mph on the highway
